The charity has been set up for the relief of financial hardship for those who have insufficient funds to continue to stay in our homes.  To qualify for this help, recipients will have to show that they have used the last of their money.

The inaugural meeting of the Trustees of the Charity was held at Hill Brow on Wednesday 31st March.  The formal Deed of Trust was signed and witnessed and the Bank Manager was present to complete the required paperwork to open the account.

The next process is to apply for full registration with the Charities Commission.  We anticipate that this may take some time to process.

Alison Lee acknowledged the considerable support we have received from the family of Eileen Parsons who passed away at the end of last year.  Their generous donations have set the ball rolling and we are keen to let other residents and their friends and families know how their donations and bequests will help support those residents in need.

Funds raised will be supplemented by Alison to ensure we maintain the minimum turnover required by the Charities Commission.

Families of residents past and present, as well as several members of staff, have volunteered to support the fund raising activities and supporters will receive regular updates on the charity’s progress.

How you can help:

  • By supporting fund raising activities
  •  With regular donations by standing order
  • In Memoriam donations
  • Bequests in your will
