Activities during February at Woodlands

In February our residents at Woodlands enjoyed lots of various activities around the theme Love and Respect Month. The 1st of February was National Dignity Awareness Day across the country and as this subject is such an important part of resident’s everyday life we decided to help in promoting awareness to all. Here are just some things our residents have been up to;

On 7th February our residents enjoyed an afternoon of Tea, Cake and chat at a Digni-Tea Afternoon. Family, friends and staff joined residents in filling in paper leafs with what Dignity means to them and then hanging them on our Digni-tree which was also made by our residents.

This year’s annual snow drop trip took place on the 25th February. Residents enjoyed a delightful trip through the countryside to St Martins Church, Ellisfield to see a wonderful display of Snow drops covering the grounds of the Church. We were especially lucky to have some sunshine whilst we were there as well as getting to hear the church bells ringing.

The end of February saw our Residents enjoying a wonderful afternoon Tea Dance. We had lots of fun and smiles with great music and plenty of dancing. We also enjoyed an afternoon tea with cream and jam scones and cakes; a great afternoon was had by all.
