On Wednesday 9th September a large number of residents from Woodlands enjoyed a wonderful sunny trip out to the Seaside in Southsea, which as always is one of the Residents favourite trips.

Leaving just after 10.30am Residents arrived at their favourite seaside restaurant Rocksbys just before lunch, and we were very lucky to have clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine. We all sat down for a fabulous lunch of traditional fish, chips and mushy peas. While having lunch Residents enjoyed the fabulous sea views of Southsea which inspired much talk of bygone holidays by the sea.

After lunch Residents got the chance to sit on the sea front and enjoy a rather yummy ice-cream in the beautiful sunshine, taking in the views and watching all the boats go by.

Shortly after it was a walk along the promenade to take in the sea air, and a break for tea and coffee before heading back home.

It was a really lovely trip out with much singing and chatter about the day on the way home with all the Residents saying how much they had enjoyed their day at the seaside.
