We kicked off the month on 1st March with a St David’s Day celebration and an afternoon jaunt to Hill House whilst Mike Burley-Wood tickled the ivories of his keyboard with some oldie-but-goodies

Iris, Kath T, and Ann always enjoy getting up for a jig when the music is on.

On Sunday 2nd March we all enjoyed a rollicking game of skittles in the lounge. Libby helped Daphne throw a few balls which was a grand achievement.

Kath M she did an amazing job.

Sylvia had a rather wicked right arm and managed a strong 8 pins down.

In the afternoon we enjoyed some poetry written by Roald Dahl. Nursery Rhymes with a twist.

Tuesday 5th March (Shrove Tuesday) pancakes were everywhere. We shared some fun facts about them. We followed it up in the afternoon with some Word Association.

After Bean Bag games in the morning after lunch the King Singers came to sing for us on the 6th March. Many of us joined in.


Musical Bingo on the 7th March went down nicely with a cocktail twist to Becky’s drinks trolley.

We had a trip out to join our friends at Hill House for a concert by Keith on the 8th March

Film Afternoon 9th March is a weekly fixture. This week we watched Bohemian Rhapsody and enjoyed a drink, popcorn and sweeties, a must for Movie night!

Monday the 11th we had balloon bounce in the morning. Everyone gets to have a go.


We also celebrated St Patrick’s Day with some festive looking cupcakes and Guinness all round.

Ray Martin was at Hill House on the 15th with another very good collections of songs to sing along to.

Connie PAT & Helen 18th March came in for one of their regular visits. After visiting with everyone in the lounge they visit residents who are in bed. She always brings a smile to everyone in the home.


On the we did a virtual tour using words related to camping. It led to chatting about camping holiday gone by.

Tessa is the Queen of our cookery club. She always does enough for everyone to have taste.

Sing A Long with Allan on the 19th March got us all joining in. Even Debbie couldn’t resist.


Our weekly trip out was on the 20th March, this time we choose Bagshot Lea. After a wonder around the animal section we had a cake and a cuppa.


Bead Threading on the 22nd March gave us a chance to catch up and a natter.

Emma was at Hill House on the 22nd March. We really enjoy our trips out and joining our friends at Hill House.

On the morning of the 25th we had Balloon Bounce it is a favourite.


Another regular social activity is flower arranging. The flowers at this time of year are spectacular.



On the 27th we had beautiful piano playing by Peter followed by Knit and Natter and after lunch afternoon tea and daily sparkle.

In the afternoon Quiots was on the menu.

On the 28th the Sun was shine and Spring has sprung at Woodlands. This gave us the chance to do our Giant Crossword outside.

Phoebe a very talented young lady visited with us on the 29th. She sang, played the piano and the violin.
