Monday the 1st of April, began with music and papers in the lounge followed after lunch with one of our favourites! Giant Games and Word Search.

On the 3rd we had our regular trip out to our local Pub, this week the residents choose the Emporium. Where they chatted over a drink of their choice.

In the afternoon of the 4th we started our preparations to get the home ready for Easter with some arts and crafts.

On the 5th, we joined our friends at Hill House for a wonderful production by Portia. It was great to see everyone and catch up. The music was beautiful.

Musical bingo kept everyone on their toes on the 9th.

There was music in the lounge with our very own Peter on the 10th. Everyone enjoys his playing.

We were back on the Easter preparations with Easter Bonnet making on the morning of the 11th. Every resident made their personally designed bonnet, which Alison judges at the Easter Bonnet Parade.

In the afternoon our wonderful physio Becky put us through our paces again, with some chair exercises.

It was a beautiful day on the 12th and after a game of Quoits, where everyone got a turn some of the residents decided to go in the gardens which are really blooming now.


We enjoyed a visit from Alison and her goats on the 18th. They are so friendly and love to be petted. It was still so lovely out, we all went in the gardens for the visit.



Good Friday we had the Easter Bonnet Parade. Everyone had chance to admire each other’s bonnets which created a great talking point.

On the 19th the King Singers visited again. We always love to listen to this very talented group.

Afterwards some of the men read the papers and relaxed in the warm sunshine in the conservatory. While others went out into the gardens.

On Easter Sunday Jade brought in her Bunny for a visited for the residents and their grandchildren. There was so much going on over the weekend with games and visitors.

Whacking the Pinata was a lot of fun to watch!

Many resident friends and family came to visit and enjoyed a walk around the beautiful grounds.


The Queen’s birthday and St Georges Day are something we love to celebrate at Woodlands. We decorate the home and celebrate with food, drink and games.

Mike came over to entertain us on the 23rd for St Georges Day. We all joined in singing along.


On the evening of the 24.4 it was Woodlands turn to host our fund raising quiz. Residents, family members and staff all participate in raising funds for Families Supporting Care.

Madison ran our word finder quiz on the 25th.


We had a trip out this week was on the 26th , where the charming Terry sang for us at Hill House.


Fruit tasting was on after lunch with a variety of different fruit to enjoy.


The spectacular Rhythm Kicks did an amazing show for us on the 27th. They got as many of us as possible up for a dance afterwards too!
