On Monday 3rd. May, May Day we enjoyed our chair-based exercises and then learnt about the history and tradition of May Day.

During the afternoon we enjoyed May Day arts and crafts making some splendid loop petal flowers and painting in preparation for some bluebells, as well as some flower colour therapy.

On Tuesday 4th. May we enjoyed a skittles challenge and word search during the morning.

On Tuesday afternoon we enjoyed a bus trip to see the beautiful bluebells now in full bloom in the woods around Ellisfield. We appreciated the fresh air, fine countryside views and the beautiful colours of the bluebells. We saw countless pheasants and even met some friendly lady horse riders!

On Wednesday 5th. May it was time for our exercises again and then we learnt a little about Amy Johnson the famous woman aviator who set off on her epic flight to Australia this day in 1930.

Residents enjoyed watching some vintage film of Amy in Australia after she finished her epic flight.

During the afternoon we sat down to the Giant Crossword with a guest host Ian Elwyn’s son one of our lovely volunteers!

On Thursday 6th May we had Rebecca our Physiotherapist doing the morning exercises with our residents, and this afternoon vases were filled with some lovely fresh flowers.

Her we have Diane, Kath, Joan and Tessa all joining in.

Friday 7th May this morning the residents took part in the Medau exercise, and this afternoon they took part in a quiz and had lovely walk around our blooming gardens.
