We made the most of a lovely sunny day this week, the first for many weeks!

On Monday 23rd. May we started the week energetically with our chair-based exercises followed by a ‘CAN’ prefix quiz.

We managed 152 words from ‘Charleston!’

We had planned Spring garden walks but due to the very rainy day we did an anagram quiz based on well-known dances and enjoyed watching some of these dances being performed.

On Tuesday 25th. May we enjoyed a skittles challenge and parachute games. Then during the afternoon

During the afternoon we enjoyed some music as Peter played some Jazz tunes for us on the piano.

 

On Wednesday 26th. May we did the Medau rhythmic exercises to music.

During the afternoon we enjoyed the Giant Crossword with Ian our lovely volunteer.

We were delighted to receive all these fresh flowers kindly donated by Waitrose which we put in vases for residents to enjoy.

On Thursday 27th. May we had our weekly physiotherapy session and then there were the fresh flowers delivered to cut and arrange.

What a display!

With the improved weather we enjoyed some garden walks and Garden Club during the afternoon. We tidied up and dug our raised bed, planted out the carrot and lettuce seedlings and planted 25 sunflower pots.

Lovely to be able to enjoy the garden today after so much rain!

On Friday 28th. May it was National Biscuit day. We started the day with our chair-based exercises

and then we made ‘Chocolate fork’ biscuits in ‘Cooking Club’ ready to have with afternoon tea later.
