On a very sunny Monday 7th. June we enjoyed an active ball bounce and word search based around suffixes.

We also enjoyed Peter playing the piano for us for an impromptu sing-a-long.
During the afternoon we enjoyed a word wheel quiz, and then went outside to our beautiful courtyard garden in the lovely sunshine to relax and for some garden walks.

On Tuesday 8th. June we enjoyed skittles followed by a few rounds of Woodlands Hangman. During the afternoon we enjoyed Film Club.
On Wednesday 9th. June we went outside (before it was too hot!) for our chair-based exercises and ‘Old Proverbs’ quiz.
Beatrice, Kath T, Pat, Diane, Len, Kath M. and Tess enjoyed the exercises in the fresh air and sunshine.

During the afternoon it was too hot to sit outside safely, so we stayed in for the Giant Crossword and kept well hydrated with cold drinks and fans!
On Thursday 10th. June we started the day energetically with our weekly physiotherapy session.

Then it was time to arrange the fresh flowers delivered that morning.

During the afternoon we enjoyed the garden and reminisced about the weather including a discussion about well-known weather phrases, very hot Summers and cold winters experienced in our lifetime, weather anagrams, a weather ‘What Am I?’ quiz and word search.

On Friday 11th. June it was ‘World Gin Day’ We started the morning with our chair-based exercises followed by a quiz all about Gin!

During the afternoon we enjoyed a Royal reminiscence, family tree discussion and quiz ahead of the ‘Trooping of the Colour’ ceremony which takes place tomorrow. As it was World Gin Day we also toasted the
Queen’s Birthday by enjoying a few G and T’s, plus other drinks as preferred.

On Saturday 12th. June we sat down to watch The Trooping of the Colour in honour of the Queens’ 95th. Birthday. As we watched we enjoyed prosecco and scones with cream and fresh strawberries!

On Sunday 13th. June we enjoyed a social with the carers with soft music and then during the afternoon some of us enjoyed the very lovely weather and relaxed in the garden.
