We started another wonderful week at Hillbrow with armchair exercises. We do this every morning as it helps us to wake our bodies up for the day ahead.
We enjoyed our art & social this week and brought out our inner Picasso. We enjoyed expressing our creative side and spent some time in the conservatory colouring.
We were all smiles this week as we enjoyed visits with you all again! It is the highlight of our week when you come to see us and really does make our day.
We all worked together this week with our weekly flower arranging, this is a time for us to get creative and we love making the arrangements which are then displayed around our home for all to see.
We all got involved with making some strawberry shortbread. We got our hands dirty and enjoyed helping Biju to make it.
We couldn’t leave Biju to clean up on his own after we all helped to make the mess, so we all pitched in and cleaned up in no time. Here is our lovely resident A.G helping to clean.
We then enjoyed some afternoon tea and of course we got to enjoy our shortcake that we made… The hard work really did pay off and it was thoroughly delicious.
We celebrated two lovely ladies’ birthdays this week, our wonderful residents D.F and M.B share the same birthday! So, it was a day full of celebration at Hillbrow!
We enjoyed a group physio session this week, this is always a fun way for us to keep our bodies active and the Physio comes up with wonderful ways for us to keep active such as the rainbow mesh.
We brought some new garden decorations to go into one of our planters this week, some very cute rabbits. As long as they don’t eat their way through what we are growing!!
We spent some time together in the lounge this week reading Pam Ayers, we took turns reading passages from the book and discussing them together.
We had a visit from Rev. Tara this week, she always looks so colourful it is amazing to see how she can brighten a room just by walking in. We love being able to celebrate our faith together.
We played hoop toss this week, we all cheered each other on but there could only be one winner.
We enjoyed a game of word association this week. This is a great way for us to keep our minds active as we have to think hard and work together to come up with the answers.
We enjoyed a trip this week to see a wonderful show called ‘thanks for the memories’ it took us back in time and we enjoyed some of our favourite songs! The performance was spectacular!
