July has had so many wonderful warm days that the residents have spent many of them out in the beautiful gardens. Reading, relaxing or playing with outdoor games.

On Monday the 1st we started the day with some exercise and ball games.

As it was such a lovely day, we decided to use it as the word play for our word search. 80 is a brilliant score.

Tuesday the 2nd we tried a new class of armchair yoga. It was very good.

The day was very warm on Wednesday the 3rd we on our outing to the Tweseldown Pub, we sat in the gardens and enjoyed a tipple of our choice.

Thursday the lovely Rebecca took us through our paces with an excersise routine. It was a very busy session with a full house.

Some of the resident went on a barge trip down the Basingstoke Canal on Friday the 5th of July. Where we saw, ducks, swans, canoeist and some beautifully quaint water side homes.

Other residents chose to attend a concert by Arwen at Hill House.

Terry Owens came to sing for us on Monday the 8th. He has such a good selection we just can’t resist singing along or getting up for a dance.

In the afternoon of the 9th, we did some sharp shooting in the lounge. It reminded us of the funfair and knocking cans off a shelf.

On Becky’s Mystery Tour trip out today we went to a Tea Dance at the Princess Hall Aldershot. There was the chance to get up and dance or just enjoy watching with some lovely cake.

In the afternoon Alison brought her pygmy goats in for a visit. It was another lovely day so we sat in the garden.

On the 11th we had a new addition to our exercises routine with a very large parachute which we lift and lower to keep a ball in play. It was great fun and set us off with the giggles.

Phoebe came and sang for us on Friday the 12th. She is a breath of sunshine and has a wonderful tone to her voice.

Tuesdays Arts and Crafts was beading to make book marks. We have a selection of beads and designs to choose from and some of the artwork was excellent.

Wednesday quiz was definitely a brain teaser but with a little help between friends we got there.

Mike Burley-wood sang for us after lunch. Mike is one of our regular entertainers and everyone has got to know him well.

We spent yet more time in the garden. It is so lovely. Friends and family really enjoy strolling around the grounds when they visit

Gareth joined us on the 18th. The lounge is always full when he comes to sing.

We had another Summer Family BBQ on Friday the 19th. The weather was a little wet but still warm, so we didn’t let it stop us enjoying the day and the excellent food.

Monday the 22nd we had Quoits in the dining room. I think we might be getting better at this!

Another annual event is when Alison and her team bring in her horses. They are so friendly and love the fuss of the residents.

Our word finder clue on Tuesday the 23rd was Reported Recording. We ran out of space for this one.

For our afternoon arts and crafts session we chose was colouring in the lounge, it is so relaxing and gives us a chance to chat.

For our trip out this week we went to visit with friends at Farnham Mill. We sat overlooking the Mill Pond, watching the ducks and eating ice-cream. Lovely!

Friday the 26th in the morning before we went to visit with our friends and Hill House and watch Billy perform, we had a game of ball bounce. Highest score wins

Those who didn’t fancy the outing spent more time relaxing and chatting in the gardens with visitors.
