We started the week with chair-based aerobics with a ‘Love to Move’ session endorsed by the British Gymnastics Association. We followed this with a lively ‘Coin the Phrase’ quiz.
We received and enjoyed reading some lovely letters sent to them by the pupils of Heatherside School. We were very touched by their kind words and to have been thought of by the school children who normally attend school so close by to them.

In the afternoon residents once enjoyed the lovely warm Spring sunshine in the beautiful gardens with a wine or soft drink while completing a word search on the garden.
On Tuesday in our Poetry Club we all enjoyed learning about some of the Easter traditions, such as the wearing of bonnets, hot cross buns, eggs, bunnies and Easter baskets.

During the afternoon residents put their thinking caps on for the giant crossword before finishing and displaying their fabulous ‘Faberge style’ Easter eggs ready for judging.
On Wednesday 8th we played ball games plus balloon bounce om the Lounge followed by Easter Hangman which we always join in on. During the afternoon residents made ‘Unity Rainbow Elmer elephants’ alfresco in the warm Spring sunshine.

On Thursday 9th Tango one of our activities team members dogs visited for a bit of pet therapy (It is National pet day on Saturday!). This also gave us a great opportunity to reminisce on our beloved pets over the years.

We had our weekly bouquets of fresh flowers, which our talented residents put into vases to scatter around the homes.

On Good Friday 10th as part of our games and puzzles morning our Easter wordsearch we achieved and excellent 100 words from ‘Happy Easter’
During the afternoon there was a lively visit from Alison and her very cute goats Bowser and Didi. We love to fuss over them and they love the fuss!

Later Alison judged our fabulous decorated eggs we have worked so hard on in the last 2 weeks. We also had a special ‘Yellow Good Friday’ raffle where of course everyone was a winner! Alison kindly then distributed Easter Eggs to everyone to conclude a lovely Good Friday

Easter Saturday, with all this wonderful warm weather we couldn’t resist being outside and enjoy the grounds with its many paths, seated areas and the sunny patios. Jill was a winner with scrabble in the garden.
Sylvia took the opportunity to check on the fish in the pond, amongst all the lovely potted flowers.

On Easter Sunday, we had another wonder day. The Activities put on music and dancing in the garden.
The Dominos Club also ventured out onto patio to play.
Patricia, Joan, Muriel, Peggy and Angela chose a lovely big puzzle and chatted away while working on it together the lovely warm sunshine.
