On Monday 7th. February we enjoyed a pamper morning followed by a film during the afternoon.
On Tuesday 9th. February we started the day energetically with our chair-based exercises.
We did a word search (something we always enjoy!) based upon ‘Charles Dickens’ who was infact born back on 7th. February 1812.
We also enjoyed a surpirse vist from Alison with her beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback called ‘Poppy’ whom we all loved to pet!

On Wednesday 10th. February we did ‘Body Move’ exercises followed by Poetry Club and then during the afternoon enjoyed arts and social with Valentine’s themed colour therapy.

On Thursday 11th. February, we enjoyed ball games before an interesting Winter quiz.
Anthony taught us all a new word ‘BRINT’ which we confirmed in the Oxford English Dictionary to mean ‘the youngest and poorest of a group of friends.’
During the afternoon we enjoyed flower arranging and chocolate fun where we decorated biscuits for Valentines day!

On Friday 12th. February it was Chinese New Year – The Year of the Ox and we enjoyed an informative discussion about Chinese New Year traditions as well as exercises to music. We also enjoyed a delicious Chinese lunch of sweet n’ sour chicken rice and noodles
During the afternoon we learnt which animal according to the Chinese calendar corresponded to our own year of birth.

On Saturday 13th. February we celebrated Valentines’ day with a beautiful card and a Hearts and Flowers Quiz as we reminisced ahead of Valentines’ Day on Sunday.

Lovely smile from Jeff!On Sunday 14th. February love was in the air at Hillbrow as we all received a beautiful red rose stem at lunchtime from Bev and the staff at Hillbrow representing their love and care for us all.
We were very touched to receive this during these challenging times where we can’t see our loved ones in the way that we would wish.
