Hillbrow staff and residents embraced New Beginnings on the afternoon of Thursday 1st. April and reflected upon the events of the last year. Staff all wore yellow to reflect the yellow of our sunflower ethos approach to care.  From moving speeches by Laura our HR Manager and the Homes Manager Bev to receiving a yellow rose of remembrance, and releasing balloons it was a fitting tribute.  Residents enjoyed watching children in song and reading poetry (specially recorded for the event) as well as singing themselves. Then in the bright Spring sunshine residents and staff went out into our lovely garden to see the planting of the beautiful remembrance cherry tree, and watch the release of the white biodegradable balloons.

Afterwards residents and staff chatted and enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and cakes. The afternoon was one of love, care, respect and dignity for our whole Woodlands-Hillbrow family.
