Since the weather is getting better day by day, the residents of woodlands are spending more time outside in the garden.
They planted flowers, went on garden walks, made delicious rocky road in our cooking club, did exercise and much more.

We started our week by staying physically active with chair-based exercise club, followed by ball games which makes our exercise even more fun. The residents enjoy doing exercises and are always looking forward to it.

After exercises, we played the game of Dominoes. A game like dominoes encourages the residents to socialize. They communicate with each other throughout the game and create a great bond and friendships.

On Monday afternoon, the giant crossword was done by one of our care partners. This is one of the favourite games of our residents and they enjoyed it indeed.

The residents also had flapjacks with their afternoon tea celebrating national flapjack tasting day.

On Tuesday, we had the opening of our brand-new Nail bar in celebration of international women’s day.
In the Nail bar the residents can get their Nails done and have foot massage therapy. It is also a private space where they can talk about anything comfortably.

On Wednesday morning, A game of Hangman was done by one of our care partners. The residents love this game.
There is always a fair and healthy competition between the residents and the care partner.

We made delicious Rocky Road in our cooking club last week.
The residents helped with everything from breaking the biscuits into pieces to mixing and pouring the mixture into the tin for cooling.
We kept the mixture overnight and enjoyed them with afternoon tea.

One of our residents celebrated his birthday last week and received many cards. We displayed them on our window as he wanted to take a picture with them. We hope to celebrate many more birthdays together.

On Thursday morning, the residents helped with flower arrangements.

We also spent the afternoon by colouring and painting while having one to one chat.

On Friday morning, we played parachute games. Parachute game is a very good form of exercise.

We spent rest of the morning doing occupation word game.
In this game, the residents would have to find out as any occupations as possible starting with a certain letter.
On Friday afternoon, the residents made their own smoothies. They chose from blueberries, strawberries, banana, grapes and many other fruits.
This encouraged the residents to stay hydrated.

On Saturday morning, the residents gathered in the lounge and joined in for sing along while Louis played Piano.

In the afternoon, we cleaned our garden and planted some spring flowers celebrating spring. We cannot wait for our flowers to bloom.
The residents spent their Sunday by going for garden walks, getting pampered while having their nails done, socializing and participating in a great game of skittles.
