We had an amazing and productive yet challenging week in Woodlands. Due to some unfortunate and unavoidable situation, some activities had to be slightly changed but we still managed to have fun throughout the week.

We started our week with chair-based exercises followed by ball games which is also part of our chair-based exercise.

In the afternoon, a game of Hangman was done by one of our care partners.
She has a great personality and enjoys to spend time with our residents doing activities.

On Tuesday, our residents had a great time while playing different games. They played Quoits, mini golf and much more.

On Wednesday, we started our day with a giant crossword followed by another game of hangman which was done by one of our care partners.

In the afternoon, we made Carrot cake in our cooking club. The residents enjoyed the whole process of making the carrot cake. They helped with measuring all of the ingredients, mixed them well together and then poured it into the tin for baking. We kept the cake overnight to be cooled and enjoyed it with our afternoon tea the very next day.

I would like to thank Laura for bringing her dog to our home for our residents on Thursday. Most of our residents are a very fond of dogs so they enjoyed her company.

In the afternoon, the residents helped with flower arranging and also enjoyed an afternoon tea party. We hold a tea party every week because our residents love them as they get to socialize with each other and with the staff.

A big thank you to our care partner for help with serving tea and cakes.

We believe hydration is the key to good health and in Woodlands it is our priority to hydrate our residents by offering juices, tea and coffee, fruit smoothies and more.
On Friday, the residents made smoothies of their own choice and enjoyed them after lunch.

On Saturday morning, our residents joined in with Louis for sing along while he played piano. Our residents sing the songs very enthusiastically and the room is filled with good cheer.

We could not wait to paint eggs for Easter. The residents painted them beautifully and will use them when making their easter bonnets this week
