We love our flower arranging, we look forward to see what colours we are having this week.
This week we had a little guest staying for a few days, the residents fell in love with Arthur Shelby.
Arthur was loved by everyone; we made a short story about Arthur.
Arthur is looking around at everybody! Arthur is is the tortoise who has joined us here at Hill brow. Arthur is about four months old and is staying here for a holiday. A few of the residents told us of their own tortoise families, one was called Henry and the other was called Oscar. Arthur went for a stroll around the home. He started with a walk down to the vegetable plot where he began to eat the cabbages, he was in trouble. He decided that he loved cabbage. Cheeky, the cat, chased Arthur back into the home. He sees all of the ladies looking at him while they munch their biscuits. Arthur smacked his lips together and was trying to get the biscuits when a big hand came and took the biscuit off him. Arthur was furious and went looking for more food. He saw some ripe plums in the fruit basket on a little table and made his way over. He climbed the table cloth and got into the basket and started munching away thinking “I will teach them a lesson they wont forget” he squashed all of the plums.
Unfortunately, Arthur had to leave us and return home to two little girls, the residents were missing him so much, we asked Alison if we could have one of our own to come and live here at Hillbrow. Alison agreed, this week we will be setting up the housing for our very own Boris the Tortoise.
We will be taking a trip to Badshot-Lea Garden centre on Thursday to collect him.
Look out for next weeks adventures.
