Another week with a wonderful theme, this week it is Ales and Tales in woodlands. Or shall we say just an excuse to enjoy a glass of cold beer while catching a few rays of sun shine.

We started our week with chair-based exercises. Every morning, we do chair-based exercises for about 15-20 minutes. This helps with blood circulation and also helps our residents to feel relaxed and get the day started.

After exercises, some of our residents helped to make these beautiful cupcakes. While cooking, the residents socialized with each other and had a great time.

All of our residents enjoyed the cupcakes with their tea during our afternoon tea party.

On Tuesday morning, we had a bowling challenge. The residents gathered in the garden and had a go one after another. Full safety of residents was given priority while playing the game.

In the afternoon, we had a live performance by Natasha.

It was time for a trip out again. Recently, we have been planning an outing once a week. Our residents are always looking forward to the outing. This week, we went to the Red Field Garden centre. The garden centre is 5 mins away from our home on a mini bus so it is quite handy and our residents loved window shopping. We had a walk around the garden centre then went to the café for tea and cakes.

On Thursday, the residents started their morning with a physiotherapy session.

After exercises, some of our residents were kind enough to help with flower arrangement.

Then, we had a perfect afternoon with cheese and wine tasting. The residents were given choices of different types of cheese to have with a glass of wine.

On Friday, we had our furry friend visit us in woodlands. Our residents absolutely love pets.

And Tink brightened the day for everyone.

We then had ale and beer tasting.

The residents enjoyed refreshing cold beer and spent their afternoon by relaxing in the garden socialising with each other. We reminisced about summer holidays we have had and shared interesting memories.

On the weekend, Louis played piano for the residents. We all joined in for sing along with a help of the song book.

Throughout the week, we had giant crosswords, hangman and lots of general and historical quizzes which all of our residents very much enjoyed.
