Another wonderful week in Woodlands full of wonderful activities and interactions.

Our residents full of respect and admiration for the Queen, wanted to watch her funeral. So, we all spent Monday together watching the events of this historic day.

The staff provided snacks and drinks throughout the day.

We held a 2-minute silence, mourning for our Queen.

On Tuesday, some of our residents went to the Windsor castle with flowers for our Queen and the Royal Family.

It was a lovely trip with tea, coffee and cake on the way back.

On Wednesday morning, we had a table tennis challenge. Our residents absolutely love playing and enjoy spectating.

Table tennis is good exercise and movement for our residents.

This week we were invited to Hill Brow residential home for afternoon tea.

We have visited Farnham Mill before, but not Hill brow, it was exciting for our residents to travel to a new place. When we arrived, our residents felt welcome and enjoyed meeting and chatting with the residents of Hill brow.

We had a lovely tea and cakes with amazing company.

We wish to return the honour and invite Hill brow to Woodlands soon.

We finished with a lovely war song sing along.

On Thursday morning, the residents joined in exercises with our Physiotherapist.

Our residents exercise every other day, it is beneficial in many ways and helps improve mobility.

Some of our residents helped to create different flower arrangements.

A big smile from our resident, on receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her daughter on her wedding anniversary.

On Thursday we made delicious scones to go with our afternoon tea.

The scones were served with clotted cream and jam and our residents absolutely loved them.

Some of our residents took part in the cooking club while the others joined in completing a giant crossword, helped by one of our care partners.

Our residents choose the activities they want to do.

On Friday morning, we played some fun games.

Our residents love a balance of physical and intellectual activities.

We started our day engaging in a tin can toss challenge and a game of Quoits.

In the afternoon, we finally started our gardening club. Some of our residents were very excited as they are fond of gardening and have grown up doing it.

We planted beautiful wildflowers and hope they bloom well in our garden.

Even though the winter is catching up on us, we still managed to complete our morning stroll in our garden.

On Saturday, the residents started their day with chair-based exercises and white board games. In the afternoon, they relaxed and watched tv while enjoying different types of cheese and wine.
