Happy New year to all from our family at Woodlands. Hope the year 2023 brings good health and prosperity to all of us.

After the feast we had on Christmas day, we all needed a refreshing walk in our garden so on Monday morning (Boxing day), the residents got their coats and went for a walk. In the afternoon, we had refreshments and snacks and watched another Christmas movie together.

On Wednesday morning, one of our care partners organised a game of Hangman with our residents.

In the afternoon, we had New Year’s arts and crafts. Along with the papers, we got ourselves covered in glitter too!!!

On Thursday, we had a manicure and pamper morning. We made very good use of our new nail bar.

New year, New nails..

The residents also helped with flower arranging.

In the afternoon, we took part in a word search an interactive activity. The residents did very well and found many words using the letters of “Happy New Year”.

On Friday, we stayed productive with our cooking club making delicious cupcakes. The residents measured the ingredients, mixed, and baked them together, great team work.  The following morning we decorated our cupcakes beautifully.

On Saturday, we had a New Year’s tea party. We all looked back on the important and memorable events that took place in 2022.
