In our home we have residents that come from different parts of the nation, including Wales, so we enjoyed celebrating St David`s Day.
We started our week with chair exercises. Gentle exercise is very important for the improvement of our residents mobility.
Tuesday morning, it was cooking club with Steve, our residents had a great time cooking welsh cakes which were enjoyed later with afternoon tea.
On Tuesday afternoon we had the lovely Terry visit for a sing-a-long, the residents love to get up and dance, they danced the afternoon away.
On Wednesday we enjoyed a Welsh afternoon tea with the residents.
On Thursday we tried some chair pilates, whilst some of the other residents took part in flower arranging with the beautiful arrangements displayed around the home.
On Thursday afternoon we played bingo
On Friday we had the library trolley doing the rounds, so much choice for those residents who wanted to choose a book to read.
Friday afternoon we enjoyed some art and crafts
On Saturday morning the residents started the day with chair yoga, followed by afternoon tea.
Sunday, we started the day looking at the news of the week, followed by a game of skittles. Then we watched the church service on television, followed with a movie afternoon and of course popcorn.
