Holi is a popular and significant Hindu festival celebrated as the “Festival of Colours, Love and Spring.” It is celebrated every year usually on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Phalguna, which typically falls in March.

On Monday the residents enjoyed experimenting with different coloured paint.

On Tuesday morning Didi and Belza the goats visited, the residents fed and stroked them and really enjoyed having them here.

On Tuesday afternoon some of the residents went on a bus trip to Hill House and joined other residents in the dementia choir.

On Wednesday, we started the day reading the papers, we do this every morning to see what is happening in the world. Then chair pilates followed by wordsearch.

In the afternoon some of our residents went to the Princess Hall for an afternoon tea dance.

On Thursday, we started our day with ball games.

Some of the residents love to do the flower arranging on a Thursday morning they enjoy making the home look bright and colourful and they smell divine.

In the afternoon the residents enjoyed cheese and wine with Rowena playing the piano in the background.

On Friday we started to get ready for St Patricks Day by painting some shamrocks.

On Saturday Morning, Laura and Norma joined us and we held the monthly residents meeting  followed by a lovely afternoon tea.

On Sunday the residents watched the church service on the tv and played a game of Quoits followed by a movie afternoon with popcorn and drinks of their choice.
