On Monday, we started the week with news of the day followed by chair exercises and a word search. In the afternoon we had Guinness tasting and eyes down for Bingo.
On Tuesday we had our monthly chiropodist visit, then the residents enjoyed the library trolley doing it’s rounds, they love to choose a book to read and it gets the conversation started about different books they have read. In the afternoon the residents enjoyed a lovely walk in the gardens.
On Wednesday morning, we had chair yoga, and our volunteer David a son of one of our residents loves to come along and organise a quiz and play a game of hangman.
In the afternoon, the residents enjoyed an afternoon tea while listening to the lovely Rowena playing piano in the background.
On Thursday Morning, we enjoyed parachute games with the residents, this always brings lots of laughter amongst us.
Thursday afternoon, we spent time arranging flowers for the home which make the home smell fresh and brings beauty and colour.
We also enjoyed a quiz and hot chocolate with marshmallows whilst watching our chosen movie.
On Friday we enjoyed spending the afternoon chatting amongst ourselves whilst having a “St Patricks Day” special afternoon tea.
We started our Saturday with News of the Day, stretches and movement, then enjoyed a word search. We spent the afternoon enjoying arts and crafts.
Mothering Sunday, lots of mums went out for lunch with their families and lots of families came to visit and enjoyed an afternoon tea. There were many bouquets of flowers for all our special mums.
