We started our week playing ball games, this is a great all- rounder as it is good at keeping our minds and bodies active, it also helps with our co-ordination!
We had a wonderful time at dementia choir! We really enjoy visiting the other homes, meeting up with friends and new people, and we all really enjoy singing so it is a truly wonderful time!
It was our lovely resident E.H’s birthday! Of course, we all made a fuss of her on her special day and we all enjoyed a lovely piece of cake with our tea!
We enjoyed our group physio session; we love exercising together, it’s great fun and we always have a good chuckle while keeping our bodies active!
We had great fun at the art & social, we really love spending time together, some of us spent our time colouring while others preferred to do a word search, this helps us to keep our motor skills sharp along with keeping our minds active!
We had a visit from Rev. Tara who came and gave us Holy Communion, we had a lovely service within the home, and we are all glad we have a congregation within Hillbrow!
We enjoyed flower arranging, it is wonderful to get together every week and arrange new flowers to be put around the home! We always have a wide variety of colour and they smell wonderful too!
This week we went to Squire’s garden centre, we of course enjoyed our usual coffee and loved looking at all the plants they had, along with a few animals!
We played a group game of bowling! We all shared a laugh at some of the action shots and we are all winners!
The baby birds have hatched! They are growing so big, we make sure we put out extra food for their parents to take to them! We look forward to watching them grow and eventually leave the nest! Maybe they will come back and lay eggs of their own!
We had an Italian quiz! We managed to guess a lot of answers and did very well, we had a surprise visit from Elvis who is a very good boy and let us all pet him!
With the lovely sunny weather recently, we have enjoyed a lovely walk around our gardens here at Hillbrow! All the flowers are sprouting so we enjoyed admiring their lovely colour and then enjoyed sitting by the pond watching the fish!
Our planter is coming along well, we tend to the flowers everyday and water them, we have enjoyed watching them sprout and grow! We can’t wait for the flowers to come through so we can see what colour they are.
