It’s Beer Week in Woodlands!! On Monday the residents of Woodlands started their week with news of the day and a gentle game of balloon bounce, they enjoyed a morning spent in the garden of Woodlands keeping cool.
The resident’s meeting was a good chance for everyone to have a catch up with Alison and talk about what’s going on around the home.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely walk in the gardens of Woodlands.
On Tuesday the hairdresser Denise came to give everyone their wash and blow dry, while other residents enjoyed the beer quiz.
The residents love to play a game of bingo, it’s a game that most residents like to get involved with.
On Tuesday afternoon, some of the residents enjoyed taking part in making the Steak and Ale Pie.
Annabelle the physio came and some of the residents joined in a group session.
On Wednesday afternoon, the residents loved their outing to the Tweseldown public house. Those that chose to stay at home listened to the lovely Rowena play the piano.
On Thursday morning, we started our day with news of the day and a parachute game.
A word association game on beer was a fun way to keep our minds active.

Also that afternoon, it was our regular flower arranging activity, the residents enjoy making the home look lovely with fresh flowers.
On Friday morning, the residents started the day with gentle exercises followed by a beer quiz, it was great fun.
In the afternoon, most of the residents joined in with beer skittles and some beer art and craft activities.
On Saturday morning, the residents enjoyed beer hangman, seated yoga and a game of Quoits.
On Sunday morning we read the papers, most of the afternoon was spent in the getting lots of vitamin D. It was a real treat when the ice cream man turned up.
