We started another busy week at Hillbrow with some baking! We all gathered round and got busy making some tasty treats for us to enjoy later with a cup of tea!
We celebrated our wonderful staff and all they do for us this week with staff appreciation; they were treated to some lovely food to thank them for all the hard work they do each day!
We spent sometime singing old war-time songs, we enjoyed spending this time together and sitting in the lounge sharing memories with one another and of course we all love a good sing song.
We spent a morning having a war time discussion, it was interesting for us to all share our experiences and memories.
We spent time with our good friends, and we always love it when you come to see us! It really does make our days brighter when we can share tea and time with you.
We then did our daily armchair exercises which we do to help wake our bodies up and prepare us for the day ahead, these gentle exercises also help to keep our muscles and bodies active and strong.
We had our weekly art and social club; this is one of our favourite activities as it allows us to be as creative as we can be while spending time in each other’s company! Plus, we are always very proud of the work we do.
Hill brows artists of the week!
We enjoyed our weekly outing this week to Badshot Lea garden centre where we enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and some sweet treats.
Although the weather has been quite chilly, we still manage to enjoy the sunshine, of course we have to wrap up warm but its lovely to spend some time in the beautiful gardens reading a paper!
We spent an afternoon sharing wartime stories, we all shared our experiences of life during the war and our memories, this was a good chance for us to learn from one another and share our different perspective on things.

We all put on our dancing shoes as we enjoyed a performance from the wonderful 2 Tanium! They came and sung all our favourite songs so of course we had to sing and dance along!
We played word association and tried to make as many words as we could from MILITARY SERVICE WEEK as you can see, we nearly filled the whole board! We all worked together as a team to come up with as many as we could.

During the week we said bon voyage to one of our lovely members of staff Lyn, she has been with us for 20 years and cared for all of us with so much love! To celebrate her and a well-deserved rest we threw a tea party for her!
Thank you for all you have done for team Hillbrow Lyn, you will be missed!
