We started another week at Hillbrow with Irish word games, we had to come up with as many words as we could think of using the letters in the word ‘THE LUCK OF THE IRISH’ and as you can see we came up with quite a few!
Some of us enjoyed a surprise trip to the pub this week, it was a wonderful surprise and we always enjoy trips out of the home.
We enjoyed an Irish coffee from the trolley this week. It of course came with plenty of biscuits.
We had fun decorating for St. Patricks day this week, we love to be involved in this and it gives us a chance to have fun while getting the home ready!
The weather has been getting warmer and brighter, so this week we enjoyed some time in the garden. We love to get out in the fresh air and spend some time together chatting.
We enjoyed more visits from you all this week, the conservatory is our favourite spot for visits due to how lovely it is. We love to spend time with you all and it really makes our day when you come to see us.
We enjoyed our weekly flower arranging this week, we were brought lots of fresh flowers, which we trimmed and organised into vases to be put around the home. This is one of our favourite activities and we look forward to this every week!
Our lovely resident S.S had her hair done this week by her daughter, she felt on top of the world after and of course everyone complimented her on her beautiful new hair do!
We prepared potato seeds this week to grow! This was a different activity for us, however, we very much enjoyed being involved with the planting of the seeds and we can’t wait to see how much they grow over the coming weeks!
We had a weekly outing this week to the Pathfinder café in Blackbush, and of course we had to treat ourselves to a coffee and something to eat. It was great to see lots of planes!
We enjoyed an outstanding performance this week from Niki Lucas, she came and sung all our favourite songs, and of course we got up and had a dance!
It was an afternoon full of laughter and tremendous music!
We have some very special visitors staying with us at Hillbrow to help us get ready for easter, Flopsy and Peter the rabbits have come to stay!
The residents were overjoyed to see these cute bunnies show up and become a part of the home!
See you next week!
