Our residents at Woodlands were treated to an Easter week filled with activities and events to celebrate the holiday. From hat decorating to mind stimulating activities, the week was a perfect blend of fun, adventure but also relaxation for the residents.
With Easter around the corner, the residents at our home were buzzing with excitement. Our residents began with making their Easter bonnets, for the upcoming Easter Bonnet Parade and what a delightful experience it turned out to be!
We had the best time making these beautiful hats.
‘Happy Easter’
Wordsearch / Wordwheel
Wordwheel/Wordsearch is a popular mind-stimulating activity that has gained immense popularity amongst our residents. It is great way to challenge the mind and have fun at the same time. The activity has become a favourite amongst all the residents as it not only improves cognitive skills but also provides entertainment.
It’s time for Easter Picture Bingo!
Terry and his partner were the perfect duo to entertain our residents. They have a natural flair for engaging with the audience and keeping them entertained throughout the performance.
The most heartwarming moments of the evening were when our residents joined in with Terry.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as our residents were treated to a delightful performance by Terry. The talented musician and singer had everyone on their feet, dancing and singing along to his tunes. It was a truly memorable experience that was enjoyed by our residents.
We understand the importance of this traditional Easter treat and wanted to make our week of Easter celebrations truly special. What better way to do that than with our hot cross bun trolley, complete with scones and clotted cream and homemade chocolate nests topped with mini-Easter eggs.
The idea behind the interactive trolley was to not just provide our residents with delicious treats, but also to create a fun and engaging experience for them.
Tossing Eggs!
Tossing colourful Easter Eggs at Woodlands was a great way to start our day. Our morning was filled with excitement as our residents participated in this fun Easter game, aiming for high scores.
Easter Bonnet Parade!
Our residents put on a spectacular Easter Parade, showcasing their creativity, talent, and most importantly their genuine effort to make it a great show.
The parade wasn’t just for showcasing the hats. It was for our residents to come together, bond and have a good time.
As they walked down the ramp, they danced and laughed with each other and had a great time.
Easter Egg Hunt!
We brought some joy and laughter to our residents by hosting an egg hunt with our colleagues’ children. It turned out to be such a wonderful afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and lots of chocolate.
When the hunt began, it was heartwarming to see the residents’ faces light up with excitement, they were determined to find as many eggs as they could. The children also had a great time helping them and cheering them on. It was beautiful to see the young and old coming together, forming new bonds, and having a great time.
Creating memories with families at Easter.
To conclude our week of celebration, we first started our day with watching Sunday Easter Church Service on TV and then Alison came around and wished everyone a Happy Easter and gave them each an Easter Egg.
