At Woodlands we held our annual English Week, a celebration of the English Language and Culture that coincides with St. George’s Day, the patron saint of England. The week was filled with a variety of engaging and stimulating activities for our residents, catering to their various needs.

Our residents embarked on a unique and engaging sensory adventure with a blindfolded tea tasting experience! As the aroma of freshly brewed tea wafted through the air, residents were guided to their seats with blindfolds covering their eyes. They were then presented with a selection of teas, each with its own distinct flavour profile. With only their taste buds as their guide, residents sipped and savoured the different varieties. They carefully considered the subtle notes and nuances, trying to identify the tea’s blend. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of laughter, concentration, and anticipation.

Woodlands was abuzz with excitement as the residents welcomed Katie from Tab About Town for a lively afternoon celebration of St. George’s Day.

The highlight of Katie’s performance was her energetic flag waving and tap dancing. With her vibrant Union Jack flag in hand, she twirled and tapped across the room, captivating the audience with her infectious enthusiasm.

The residents couldn’t resist but join Katie on the dance floor, creating a joyous and memorable moment. Our residents praised her for her infectious energy, unwavering spirit, and for creating an unforgettable celebration of St. George’s Day.
