Scottish Week

We recently enjoyed a wonderful Scottish-themed activities week here at Woodlands. Residents embraced the Highland spirit as we explored the life and works of Robert Burns in a quiz.

The celebrations continued in the kitchen as residents had great fun making (and sampling!) traditional Scotch pancakes.

Our week of fun culminated on Sunday with a special Burns Night celebration, with residents enjoying some traditional haggis and one of our very own Scottish residents gave a wonderful and heartfelt reading of the famous Address to a Haggis.  A braw time was had by all!

Fresh Flowers

This week, our Flower Arranging Club brought the garden indoors with beautiful fresh roses and lilies. It’s such a lovely activitiy, with the fresh scent filling the home, and always popular with our residents

Scotch Pancakes & Smiles

As part of our Scottish-themed week, we rolled up our sleeves and made traditional Scotch pancakes (or drop scones) together. Everyone took turns mixing, pouring and flipping. We enjoyed them with berries on top, perfect for sharing.

Savouring sweet moments together!

Photos Of The Week

It’s been a week full of fun and connection. Please enjoy some of our favourite moments, from energetic group exercises to an afternoon of live music from the talented Omari.
